School starts in Wilkes County tomorrow, August 5, and other schools all over are starting early as well. Some people object to the early start, saying it is too hot for both health reasons and economic reasons. Do you think it is wise for schools to start in early August? Why or why not?

“I think they should start

early in August. In regards to

the heat, they’re inside, and it

would be good for them to get

back early to learning what

they need to know basic

throughout life and work.”

they ought to have school all

year-round because three
