Five teams will compete for W-WPRD adult softball crown

The Washington-Wilkes Parks & Recreation adult softball regular season ended on Sunday, June 25, but teams are not finished yet. On Saturday, August 5, the five teams will battle each other in an all-day tournament.

Beginning at 9 a.m., the doubleelimination tournament will feature at least eight games and possibly nine as the New Images, the Outlaws,

Smoking Gun, Anthony Forest Products, and The Club compete for the league championship.

The Club earned a bye in the first round of play and will play the winner of the first round game between Anthony Forest Products and Smoking Gun.

The public is invited to attend and enjoy the games which will be played at Ashley Park.
