Foundation helps Robert Toombs House

Incoming Watson-Brown Foundation Junior Board members Darius Williams of Warren County and Milton James of Washington present a check for $10,500 to Mary Craven, president of the Friends of the Robert Toombs House as Curator Marcia Campbell (at left) and Wilkes County Commission Chairman Sam Moore look on. The grant went to pay for the removal of a bee colony in the house, and to assess repairs needed to stabilize the old home. The Watson-Brown Foundation has given more than $185,000 to various groups in the last 10 years.
