SquareCrows are popping up in Washington

Breckyn Hudson arranges the SquareCrow display she designed for Washington Dance Academy, the first of many entries in this year’s SquareCrow scarecrow decorating contest. This year, the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is organizing the effort to help bring shoppers to downtown businesses, promoting local business and community pride, organizer Susan D. Pope said. “We want it to be a fun event for local children and adults, as well as visitors from out of town.” This year, organizers ask that the SquareCrows be up by Thursday, October 9. The rules are the same from previous years, she said.
