Frances Woodall Shank

Graveside services for Frances Woodall Shank, 96, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Chris Townsend and Rev. Joel Walker officiating. She died Wednesday, June 24, at Southern Manor Personal Care Home in Washington.

Mrs. Shank was born in Blackshear and had lived most of her life in Washington. She was the daughter of Edwin Percival Woodall and Rosamond Abigail Smith Woodall, and was the widow of Robert H. (Bob) Shank. She graduated from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta on June 4, 1940, and was retired from the Department of Family and Children Services. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers included Erik Granade, Lars Granade, and Steve Granade. At Mrs. Shank’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Duggan Memorial Scholarship, c/o Washington Woman’s Club, P. O. Box 1293, Washington, GA 30673.
