The Episcopal Bazaar and Luncheon will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.

The Rayle City Council will meet at City Hall on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m.

Snow on The Square will be held in downtown Washington on four more occasions during the holiday season including Saturday, December 3, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Saturday, December 10, from 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, December 17, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, December 20, from 5-7 p.m.

The fifth annual Christmas Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday, December 10, beginning at 7 p.m. The deadline for entries and sponsorships is Saturday, December 3. To sign up, call Blake Thompson at 706-319-2237.

The Lyonsville Baptist Church will have its Men’s and Women’s Day program on November 27, at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. H. M. Easley. Everyone is invited.

The annual Legislative Breakfast will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 8 a.m. at the Third Shiloh Rev. G.L. Avery Center. The event is co-sponsored by Family Connection and Communities in Schools of Wilkes County and the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited. Tickets will be available at the Chamber of Commerce office at $13 each. The Tignall Christmas parade will be held on Sunday, December 4, with lineup for entrants beginning at 2 p.m. The parade will begin at 3 p.m. and travel through Tignall to the traffic light and then turn left toward the old school grounds on Independence Street. Anyone riding a four-wheeler in the parade must have someone pick up the four-wheeler at the end of the parade on Independence Street. There is no entrance fee.

Legendary Georgia Bulldog football coach Vince Dooley will present “Leading from the Front” to the Washington Civil War Round Table on Monday, November 28, at 6 p.m., in the ballroom of the Fitzpatrick Hotel. Current paid members only are encouraged to make reservations.

The Wilkes County Board of Commissioners will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, at the ¬≠Wilkes County courthouse. A work session in the chairman’s office will be held immediately prior beginning at 1 p.m.

The Wilkes County Board of Education will meet at the board office on N. Alexander Avenue on Monday, December 19, at 2 p.m.

The Washington City Council will meet on Monday, December 12, at The Pope Center beginning at 6 p.m. A work session will precede the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
