Annual Legislative breakfast slated December 1 at Third Shiloh, 8 a.m.

The annual Legislative Breakfast sponsored by the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce and Family Connection and Communities in Schools of Wilkes County (FCCIS) will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 8 a.m. at the Third Shiloh Rev. G.L. Avery Center in Washington.

“We will certainly look forward to you sharing with us as we hear about the various economic, socio political issues, and legislation that are being considered to help improve the lives of Georgia’s children, families, and communities,” said FCCIS Executive Director Amethyst Wynn as she issued an invitation to the public.

Cost of the breakfast is $13 and Wynn asks that those planning to attend “please pay for your breakfast at the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce office on The Square.” However, tickets will also be available at the door.

“This is a great opportunity to hear first hand from your elected legislators about their plans for 2017,” Wynn said.

For reservations or more information, call the Chamber at 706-678- 2013. Reservations and payment are requested as early as possible in order to provide a count for the caterer.
