Nurse Practitioner Bruce Bailey (left), who heads up the new Urgent MD office on Gordon Street in Washington, said he could be working anywhere but he chooses to serve this community which he loves. Listed as a “primary care office,” Urgent MD is more like the old physicians’ offices used to be, according to Bailey, offering basic care and some procedures. The office currently sees about 20 patients per day and is considering extending its hours and being open on weekends. Appointments are not necessary.
