As a member of the Berry College equestrian team since 2016, Andrea Hill competes in the Hunt Seat division and has amassed an impressive record for just a sophomore.

Beginning in the Auburn University Halloween 2016 competition, she placed fifth and then followed with a first place finish at Georgia College and State University. She placed first again upon returning to Auburn in January of 2017.

Hill also qualified to be with the Berry College team at zone competition which included colleges from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee in the finals hosted by the University of Florida in April of 2017. Berry’s team placed fourth and Hill won fourth in the Individual Novice Flat Class against 10 riders from different colleges.

After the Zones, Andrea continued in competition winning fourth and fifth places at Alabama, first place at Kennesaw State, second at Auburn Halloween 2017, first at the UNG/ KSU “Birds of Prey” Classic 2017, and first place at Berry College’s Turkey Trot Classic 2017.

Hill “pointed out” of the walk-trot level and is qualified to go to Regionals this March at Alabama. She further qualified to move up and began competing in the walk-trot-canter level, winning first place at Auburn last weekend. She plans to compete in Western Pleasure for the Berry equestrian team sometime this spring.

Hill, a 2016 Briarwood Academy graduate, is the daughter of Bob and Julie Hill. She is majoring in animal science with a minor in chemistry at Berry College.
