Hospital get new bladder scanner

Specialty Clinic Nurse Lisa Eskew (back) and Employee Heath Nurse Susan Penvose (front) accept the bladder scanner donated to the hospital by the ladies of Beta Sigma Phi. Also pictured (across the middle from left) are WMH Community Relations Director Susan D. Pope, Dr. Zachary Klaassen, and BSP members Linda Garrett, Rosemary Hopkins, Bobbie Griffin, Angie Strother, and Paula Suggs.

BSP continues its support of cancer prevention and access to health care in Wilkes County through the donation of the bladder scanner. The new technology will be used by Augusta University Urologist Dr. Zachary Klaassen in the Specialty Clinic and the OR.

“Wilkes County and Wills Memorial are so blessed to have the continued support of BSP,” Pope said. “This group of ladies works so hard every year to support our hospital and our community members who are undergoing cancer treatment. Their commitment has helped WMH save many lives through early detection.“
